Mikasa and Other Addictions....

Not sure why we love to collect dishes so much. I think it comes from our grandmother Katie who used to let us play dress up in her funny old Victorian clothing and play "tea set." My sister Pansy loves "Mikasa" They come in so many patterns and styles and are readily available in thrift and antique stores. Heavy weight to light weight, and all sorts of patterns. It is sort of the thrill of collecting when you flip the plate over and find the pattern and style you want confirmed on the back.
